Spelling List 2

Hi students,

Our next Spelling will be in Week 4 ie. Thursday, 28 January 2010.

Spelling list (Week 4):
1) p 24: She was looking very woeful with her eyes red and swollen and her cheeks wet with tears.
2) p 24: The doctor told her about the death of her mother, his cheeks streaked with tears.
3) p 25: She was wreathed in melancholy.
4) p 25: I wept bitterly when I heard the news.
5) p 25: When we gave her the bad news, she broke down and cried.
6) p 25: She was so tired and overwrought that she burst into tears.
7) p 25: The family were shattered by the news of his death.
8) p 25: The place is full of homeless orphans with woebegone faces and outstretched hands.
9) p 26: She was a bit squeamish at the sight of blood.
10) p 26: We were so stupefied by the dreadful news.

You may print the Spelling list out for convenience and ease of learning Spelling. However, you should, by now, already know that being able to understand and remember the meaning of the words in blue is the key to doing well for your Spelling.
